I got my husband's cake here it was the Mocha chocolate it was amazing, the cake was so soft the frosting had a great flavor. Its a 3 layer cake, it was $50 for 8in so very well priced.
The BEST chocolate cheesecake and gingerbread ever! My husband loved the pumpkin cheesecake and molasses cookie. Will definitely be making the drive back soon!
The german chocolate cake is the best cake I've ever had! There will *never* be a better cake to me. It renders me speechless every single time i have it. 17 Hands has the BEST cakes, cinnamon buns, biscuits, and scones! I bet anything else is incredible, but I don't drink coffee, and I just keep ordering my favorites so this is all I'll write about 😊 I do not live close but I will always make the drive because it's worth it every single time. Legitimately, the fridge with the grab-and-go cake slices, is something I've seen in my dreams - this shop is heaven.
We LOVE this place! From the coffee and cinnamon buns next door, to the cakes and cheesecakes. Everything we’ve ever had was delicious so we ordered my mom her favorite cake for her birthday and again… delicious. So happy we stumbled upon this place. Can’t wait for my husbands birthday in a couple weeks to order another 😂
Got 2 bakers dozen cookies for a party. From the empty boxes, they were a big hit. Service was excellent, product was packed well for travel and tasty. Spoiled myself with a slice of Key Lime Pie, no wonder it wins Blue Ribbons. I recommend.
Stopped in on a whim. BEST oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies I’ve had in YEARS!!! They were just the right amount of sweet, flavor, and texture. Talked about rum soaked cherry and oatmeal cookies with staff. Can’t wait until they’re available.
My husband and I stopped in today on a whim and I am so glad we did. I wish we had gotten the name of the lady who helped us because she was so sweet. We bought a loaf of sourdough, a lemon blueberry muffin and the Biscoff cheesecake. The muffin is amazing and the Biscoff cheesecake is out of this world. We live on the other side of the water and 100% will be taking the time to make a trip back to the bakery. I can’t wait to try out the sourdough!
I don’t know where to begin. I needed a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting for my daughter’s birthday. Not knowing where to get a good one in Virginia Beach, I asked my daughter-in- law for a recommendation ? She told me that she and my son love the pastries and quiches from Robin Simmons bakery and to try there. Taking her advice I called the bakery, they could not have made the ordering process any easier and the people I talked with were friendly and helpful. The day of the party we walked into the bakery and moaned at the wonderful smells as soon as the door opened. The shop is cute and the food looked so yummy. We picked up the cakes, I ordered a chocolate cake with mocha buttercream frosting and a Red Velvet Cheesecake. When we got to my daughters and opened the box with the chocolate cake the aroma smacked us in the face and filled the house with the most amazing scent. There was a mad rush to the kitchen as everyone asked what was in the box. Mass scheming ensued and offers of money flew through the air as everyone tried to figure out how they could get a taste before the party. Not only did the cake smell awesome it was beautifully made too. The poor cheesecake couldn’t compete aromatically, but it looked just as amazing as the chocolate cake. Now for taste. If I say gastronomic delight causing orgasmic looks of pleasure, that about sums it up. There was, moaning, groaning, OMG’s and sighs of “so good”. The chocolate cake was a clear winner for my daughter, but the cheesecake was raved about by everyone that had it too, and many had a piece of both cakes. Most of the guests wanted the name of the bakery. I couldn’t recommend Robin Simmons Bakery enough. We had great service from friendly people and the best cakes ever. Sorry, I only got a picture of the chocolate mocha cake.
I just stopped by to get a small piece of cake in the process. I realized how beautiful the places inside. Their customer service is amazing. They have a great selection of cakes. Amy was very helpful and knowledgeable. Took the cake home made me some hot chocolate and the cake was amazing. No regrets you have to try it.
